Comments: We have the responsiveness of a corpse

Brilliant.

I was especially moved by the Stonewall Jackson story. The men of the Civil War steeled the backs of those who fought in WW II. The Greatest Generation steels ours.

What legacy will we leave?

Our current supineness is the embodiment of our lack of integrity. We are not willing to develop anything of real value.
The center does not hold. We are more hole-ness than wholeness.
All is not lost. We simply need to be pushed beyond the limits of our apathy and comfort. "Beware the people weeping when they bare the iron hand."

German working class folks on Kristallnacht:

"Uh, whazzat?"

"I dunno, sounded like firecrackers and glass breakin'"

"Get me another beer while yer up".
