Comments: The U.S. in Afghanistan: A Fractally Stupid War

Success and failure. We are failing as a nation.
All over the world countries great and small have stated their intentions and have worked toward realizing them. Success and failure are apt words to describe global actions.
Even third World yocky-dock countries are succeeding while our once-great nation fails at every turn.

Our POTUS has stated his intentions regarding his time in office and he, along with those that control him, is succeeding.

We failed to elect politicians that will benefit our country;

We failed to right any wrongs in our government;

We failed to secure a future for our descendants.

We succeeded in providing a source of Schadenfreude for all other nations to see.

When (not if) Hillary gets elected we shall have slipped again lower.

Afghanistan was an amazing success until around 2006 when the left achieved peak treachery. Now after six years of awful rules of engagement and PC themed leadership, refusal to equip and man the fight properly, and miserable morale, the place is a mess.

It could be turned around, I believe, like Iraq was, but not under this administration and not under the Pentagon that the Obama administration has stacked.

America is much like an alcoholic. We haven't hit bottom yet and until we do there is no change. No one can help America except Americans. We have to stop electing 'not-Americans', purge those they put in the bureaucracy, and change the way we see ourselves. That would be a free market bootstrap lifting society that won't tolerate the shiftless collecting welfare.

They can be as shiftless all they like but on their own nickle.
