Comments: This is a chorus ever-repeating in the musical that is Marxist insanity:

Apparently, mass amnesia sets into a population roughly every 30 years; not with the exact regularity of the 17-year locust or Solar Cycles, but with enough warning to be able to head it off.

However, these bouts of hysteria are not headed off because of that even more constant condition known as apathy.

Speaking of evergreens:

When I was young I used to wait
on Massa, and bring him his plate;
and pass the bottle when he got dry,
and brush away the blue-tail fly.

Jimmy crack corn and I don't care,
Jimmy crack corn and I don't care.
Jimmy crack corn and I don't care,
the Massa's gone away.
