if I answer "no" it means I am smart enough to know that.

If I answer "yes" it means that I am smart enough to know that so I should have chosen "no".

Or maybe used an "X"?

Oh boy Dave, cognitive dissonance.

And I was always good at multiple choice questions.

This question is based on absolute values, like above or below a specific amount of stupidity.

If we use a relative scale then I am smarter than some, dumber than others.

Perhaps we need more information before giving a relevant response.

I am not sure I understand if you are agreeing, disagreeing, mocking or saluting my comment, but anyway, I thought the "joke" was that the person claimed they were not dumb, and used an "incorrect" symbol to do so. Not exactly a knee-slapper, but that was all I could figure out.

Dave, I'm not mocking you. I'm taking this post not seriously and offering up pseudo-serious analysis of it as some pedantic commenters are prone to do. A little mischief.
Some times I do drift a bit and, yeah, lose sight of shore.

Your take on it is a good one (which in all my cleverness I did not see). When I read your comment about incorrect symbol I smacked my forehead smack and thought "of course".

You and me? We're good.
