Comments: Drudge is an aggregator, not a news source, but he has an amazing sense of collage.

To each his own interpretation of Drudge's popularity. I peruse Drudge second, right after my chosen RSS feeds, because it's uncluttered, broad scope, and uncategorized (mainly). Takes me to subject areas I maight not have been inclined to look up, and enables me to do it quickly. I notice Drudge's playful arrangement of headlines and such, but that's not why I look at it.

Same here Bill.

Simple, straight forward, lacking in overt bullshit.

Most other sites are littered with stuff I have no use for.

I like my info streamlined, low friction, high output.

Matt Drudge keeps his thoughts, feelings, opinions to himself.
I believe he is an honest man.

We can read a little between the lines but for the most part we are on our own.

When we click on a link it's up to us to believe it or not, to agree or not.
I don't like being manipulated, much less controlled.
Sometimes the absurdity of the linked story is obvious; Drudge does have a sense of humor.

I read Drudge Report several times on most days.

The automatic refreshing is a pain, though.
Matt could at least get rid of that, people know to refresh their browsers now. It isn't the '90's anymore.

If y'all think this is just about Matt Drudge, you need to go back and read the link.

Camille Paglia, radical lesbian feminist progressive, regularly displays and expresses more common sense than any current "Conservative" writer or public figure. Take a gander at her take on the effects of Donald Trump, her dismissal of "atheists" as adolescents, and her lifelong scorn of snark and childish "humor." Her take on David Letterman, as an example, has long been "that smirking ass." And so much for Jon Stewart.

Drudge is a genius. And I miss his flashing red/blue emergency light.

@Rob:

(about trump)
"He’s not a president, of course. He’s not remotely a president. He has no political skills of any kind."

That's just what the US needs right now, another asswipe with "political skills".

Paglia is just like almost everybody else out there - retarded.

I instantly realized this first time I encountered her almost 20 years ago.
