Comments: These Just In

It seems there are few options for responding to Trump:

Debate, uh uh; Discredit, nope; Bribe, ... huh? Blackmail, ditto;

He should stay away from Dealey Plaza.

Drudge splashes: "This just in, stadium hosting Trump and ten thousand followers reduced to rubble with eerie flame and smoke cloud.
Witnesses from half a mile away report hearing "something like a loud bang, er, louder than a car backfire, ya know?"
Local airport reported activity on radar screens just prior to explosion; NSA have confiscated the recordings and quarantined the air traffic controllers.

Any opposition to the investigation will be handled as complicity. Late night arrests, assets seizures, news breaks with names and addresses.
Do all this so that for miles around people see it all, understand it, tremble, and tell themselves that we are killing the bloodthirsty "traitors" and that we will continue to do so ...

Once done is done. the investigation by Government agencies, right? will drag on longer than the glove that didn't fit or Hilary's emails.

Radio talk show host Steve Deace (you really should listen to his show) is an expert-level analyst of Iowa politics. Trump had a few discussion with Deace before Trump's announcement. Deace sees Trump as dedly serious about winning the nomination (GOP or otherwise). Trump will stay in to the end unless TRUMP concludes victory is impossible, and then drops out.

Trump's one day pro-life comments and next day ambivalence about Purder Inc (Planned Parenthood) may signal Trumps decision to go 3rd Party. Trump did flirt with running on Ross Perot's Reform Party a few years ago.

One thing I think is certain about the GOP Establishment: They hope to win with JEB, Rubio, Kasich, or possibly Walker. If they can't win, they will be happy to lose to a generic Democrat, even Hillary. Their worst nightmare is a Trump victory or a rabid anti-GOP Establishment candidate such as Cruz.

I support Trump to the extent he is kicking the GOP Establishment in the crotch and honest about "build the damn wall". I don't expect him to last until the Nov election inside the GOP. I suspect the GOP will do everything possible to drive Trump into a 3rd Party run, because that would drive anti-GOP voters out of the GOP, and probably elects the Dem candidate, which isn't as disruptive to the GOP and real change.

The GOP Establishment isn't willing to do anything to win. They are willing to do anything to prevent serious change, even lose to Democrats repeatedly to prevent serious change.

I support any attack on the GOP. To me there is little to save other than the word Republican. That should be saved if possible simply to simplify ballot access in the 50 states. Otherwise the GOP is nothing but a teardown project.

I just want to see Trump rough up the field of GOP and soften 'em up enough for Cruz to waltz in unscathed by the fray.

Too bad for the GOP but Trump has the bit in his teeth.

This election more than any other will be won by people like us voting negative. We don't, do not want the incumbents to remain in office so we will make choices that are not positive ones. We don't care what the pol's record is or if he has some little secrets and shortcomings, all we know is that he is not a Democrat. Perhaps that strategy will be the prevailing one in future elections. Instead of "I am this and I promise that" we'll see "I'm not this and I will not that".

Is there anybody reading this stuff that still believes if only we had:
•Republicans
•Democrats
•Tea Party
•Libertarians
•Penguins for a Gun-free Antarctica
•Sarah Palin
•Donald Trump
•all of the above
•none of the above
that all our troubles will go away?

I got news for you Bucky. This isn't tofu turkey and decaf lattes and green anything. Effective change will come about by the boots & steel method.
What's that you say? Don't want to get your hands dirty? OK fine, stay out of the way and don't rattle the chains that bind you.
