And that delight is why I take my girls fishing.

I miss fishing on the Gallatin River in Montana. One grasshopper got us five rainbow trout in an hour. My, but that was some damn tasty fish!

My Grandpa took me fishing on his boat too many decades ago, when I was not much older than Avery. I got one, too.

Ah, to be fishing again. Always a good day out on the water.

My son took his girlfriend fishing today. She texted me she didn't catch any fish...she did catch a fiancé....ring and all! This sweet video ends a happy fishing day!

@Jewel, agreed. Rainbow is my favorite freshwater fish.
Grouper is my favorite salt water fish. Make mine mesquite please.
For rainbow: salt and pepper, and a little budda.

I have a female friend who works in a professional position in medicine. She got hooked on painkillers, and eventually was caught swiping them from the hospital supply. She's clean now, trying hard to stay that way.

One day when I saw her, she was dressed kind of like she was fishing. I asked what she had been up to, and she said she had taken her kids fishing that morning.

Another time she was talking to me, and she questioned if her kids would resent her for her time as an active addict. I told her, "You know what your kids will remember? They'll remember that Mom took them fishing."
