Don't try to analyze these cuckoos. And above all, don't try to treat, rehabilitate, renovate, reclamate, rejuvenate or whatever the current psyco-babble is. Just warehouse them. That's what society did for centuries until a few decades ago.

Mercer was a Jihadi. 'Political viability' is, it seems, more important than actual viability:
