Usual drivel from the Fat Ass

Let's see.....

1971 Wrote and recorded the song as Cat Stevens at the age of 23.... about 44 years ago....

I would expect some alteration in the mind set of a man over 44 years from the 20s on.

After the 9/11 attacks his statement read:

"
I wish to express my heartfelt horror at the indiscriminate terrorist attacks committed against innocent people of the United States yesterday. While it is still not clear who carried out the attack, it must be stated that no right-thinking follower of Islam could possibly condone such an action. The Qur'an equates the murder of one innocent person with the murder of the whole of humanity. We pray for the families of all those who lost their lives in this unthinkable act of violence as well as all those injured; I hope to reflect the feelings of all Muslims and people around the world whose sympathies go out to the victims of this sorrowful moment."

He appeared on videotape on a VH1 pre-show for the October 2001 Concert for New York City, condemning the attacks and singing his song "Peace Train" for the first time in public in more than 20 years, as an a cappella version. He also donated a portion of his box-set royalties to the fund for victims' families, and the rest to orphans in underdeveloped countries.

During the same year, he dedicated time and effort in joining the Forum Against Islamophobia and Racism, an organisation that worked towards battling misconceptions and acts against others because of their religious beliefs or their racial identity (or both), after many Muslims reported a backlash against them due in part to the grief caused by the events in the United States on 9/11.

Regarding his inclusion on the terrorist watch list:

"Yusuf believed his inclusion on a "watch list" may have simply been an error: a mistaken identification of him for a man with the same name, but different spelling. On 1 October 2004 he requested the removal of his name, "I remain bewildered by the decision of the US authorities to refuse me entry to the United States".[85] According to his statement, the man on the list was named "Youssef Islam", indicating that Yusuf was not the suspected terrorism supporter.[19] Romanisation of Arabic names can easily result in different spellings: the transliteration of the Islamic name for Joseph lists a dozen spellings.

Two years later, in December 2006, Yusuf was admitted without incident into the United States for several radio concert performances and interviews to promote his new record.[86] He said of the incident at the time, "No reason was ever given, but being asked to repeat the spelling of my name again and again, made me think it was a fairly simple mistake of identity. Rumours which circulated after made me imagine otherwise."

"In October 2004 the News UK newspapers The Sun and The Sunday Times voiced their support for Yusuf's exclusion from the United States and claimed that he had supported terrorism. He sued for libel and received an out-of-court financial settlement from the newspapers, which both published apology statements saying that he had never supported terrorism and mentioning that he had recently been given a Man of Peace award from the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates"

From La Wik which can be helpful in finding out the aftermath of variøus incidents.

Poor boomers, yearning for and forever believing that for the first time in history they can have what never was and never will be.

Life is sorrow, life is strife, life is fleeting moments of happiness with friends and family, purchased only by hard work and resistance against danger and evil. Life is war, with short periods of rest. There are always too many mouths and not enough food. From the lowliest amoeba to the vast cosmic beings that stride the stars, of which our Earth is just one of their plantations upon which they harvest and feed.

Peace can only be found in a graveyard, and perhaps in an empty wilderness. In a wilderness though, nature red in tooth and claw is ever ready to take from you everything you've got.

When somebody sings for peace, it's a warning that he is prepared to kill as many of you all as it takes. Ol' Cat Stevens can walk around all pious and stuff cuz he knows the jihadis have his back. And he has theirs.

Fat ASS shits all over itself again.

It read a headline on the cover of Cosmo while standing in the checkout line waiting to pay for it's cart full of fructose and forms an instant opinion that twists it's heavily soiled Bernie thong into 1080 degree rancid pretzels.

The naivety of the boomer generation during the 60's was, in retrospect, truly astonishing.

So his unmitigated support for the death of an author goes by the board? He said (quoting Wiki again):

----------------------
On 21 February 1989, Yusuf Islam addressed students at Kingston University in London about his conversion to Islam and was asked about the controversy in the Muslim world and the fatwa calling for Salman Rushdie's execution. He replied, "He must be killed. The Qur'an makes it clear – if someone defames the prophet, then he must die."
------------------------

Yup, there's our peace-loving islamo-whacko. His later claims that "Hey, it was just a joke" are 100% later derailed by his even further statements about being willing to execute him if convicted in a court of blasphemy.

I'm sorry Mr. van der leun but I must disagree with you in this instance based on the facts. He has shown no repentance for supporting the fatwa against another artist, and continues to profess his willingness to support it.

Always amused at the things simple minds find to argue about.

This is a little known fact, Fehd but Yusuf salaam updated this little ditty to make it conform to his current belief system

Now I've been happy lately; thinking of end times to come
And I believe it could be; Allah's justice will be done
Now I've been smiling lately; dreaming of how jihad has won
And I believe it could be; Zion's plot will be undone

But out on the edge of cowardice; there sits the Peace Train
Peace Train leave this country; retake our homes again
Now I've been smiling lately; thinking of reckonings to come
And I believe it could be; Judgment Day has begun

Oh Peace Train exploding louder
Derail the Peace Train!! (Allah Allah, Allahu Akbar)
Beware the Peace Train

Get your daggers ready; come bring your AKs, too
Reckoning's getting nearer; it soon will strike the Jews
Come enjoin the Christians; it's time to expel them too
Mahdi's time drawing nearer; he soon will call on you

Oh Peace Train exploding louder
Blow up the Peace Train!!
(Allah Allah, Allahu Akbar)
Take out the Peace Train

Now I've been crying lately; thinking of al ummah as it is
Why must we keep debating; with theiving Zionists
Cause out near the death of honor; there sits the Peace Train
Peace Train leave this country; expel the Jews again

Does Islam permit Muslims to lie?

Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences."
There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

http://thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/taqiyya.aspx

"Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah."
Qur'an 3:28:

This has been an exercise in how deeply the media can create terror synapses in the minds of those with less than average intelligence.

Fear is the strongest emotion, especially in those with little self control.
