Something Wonderful: Zorba's Syrtaki

I remember that from the days of my youth. My dear departed Mom bought the album, and played the grooves out of the thing.

Guess I'll have to find a DVD of it, now.

Something else wonderful. A classic, redone, and done very, very well.

Enjoy, and thanks for the Zorba! Galveston has a strong, annual Greek Festival. I'll go with renewed zest, this year.

"I felt once more how simple a thing is happiness: a glass of wine, a roast chestnut, a wretched little brazier, the sound of the sea. Nothing else. And all that is required to feel that here and now happiness is a simple, frugal heart."

-Nikos Kazantzakis, Zorba the Greek
