Just kidding. To me this looks like the Republican party kicking 33% of their voters in the balls. We are watching the slow suicide of the Republican party as it exists today. The only thing that could possibly save their butt is that those in that 33% hate Hillary. But to be honest I don't think it's gonna matter...

Jeff Weimer I attended my Precinct causus here in CO, normally there would be a dozen or so, there was probably 3 times that number. Many new people, most of which I assume were Trump supporters, wanted to switch to a Primary so they wouldn't have to "show up" to all the meetings. We tried to explain that at the lowest level is where they have their greatest influence. Trump did indeed get the largest number of votes during our unauthorized straw poll, but very few wanted to go to our County Assembly. Resolutions were offered to the Party Plank, they were not prepared for the process & left early. Liberty is to hard for most people, that is why we are losing it, & the Party Establishment like it that way

Caucus is party work. If you don't do the work, you don't get to party. Harley had that problem and it seems that he wasn't alone.

I've attended these local conventions and the delegates are all activist politicos and local officials. Naturally they gravitate to the princes of the party (statewide & national elected officials) who can offer the ability to rub shoulders with the connected and wealthy not to mention a possible candidacy to a local office. Only the hardest core party players will reach the national convention. I would guess that none of these personally support Trump. I think that Trump needs to put on his deal-making hat and start offering perks to his own delegates and those of Kasich and Rubio to ensure his having enough first ballot commitments. I bet $50k/delegate would cement multi-ballot loyalty. Don't spend money on media ads. Spend it on individual delegates. Now that would be money well spent and cost next to nothing.

I learned that the Republican Party apparatus was mostly composed of establishment whores when Reagan made his two attempts at gaining the nomination. They fought him tooth and nail. He basically had to form an outside organization and seize the throne.

His big mistake was trying to accommodate the establishment by picking Bush I (read my lips....read my hips, New World Order) as his VP.

Whether Trump wins or not, I'm glad to see that he's pulled back the curtain and revealed these people for the careerist scum that they are.

The crowd cheers as Trump enters the game. He gets the pass and... he throws it out of bounds past the nearest opponent. The ref hands the ball to the other team and Trump gets in his face. "That was a strike. A yuge strike. The greatest strike ever." Ref explains that it isn't a baseball game. Trump pulls out his phone, tweets, "I've been robbed". The crowd erupts, waving their made in China Trump flags, making America great again.

So, who do you kick in the balls? The 33% of the R party, or the 68% of the electorate who think he's an asshole?

Will Hillary hatred overcome the 33% if Trump isn't the nominee, or is there enough of it to overcome the 68%?

This is just raw numbers, but to me, the fact that the big-time dealer got hosed in a game DESIGNED for dealing is why I'm not a Trump fan. He's a loud mouth bullshitter, an empty suit, and is in no way qualified for the job of POTUS.

That said, if he is the nominee, I'll hold my nose and vote for him, because I think that HRC would be a complete (instead of a semi-) disaster.

The Republicans can have their "anointed King of the world" Cruz and the Democrats can have Saint Hillary.

There is no difference between the two candidates and there is no difference between the parties.

I don't mind you said that twice at all.
