Comments: Having trickled down from the top, moral licence has now percolated up again from the bottom.

Best line in the article, and true everywhere today:

"....people come out of school knowing even less than when they went in...."

And as I pointed out to Dalrymple, the conscious debasing of culture in Britain in the '60s had its exact counterpart in the embrace of lower-class black music and behavior by the United States when rocknroll took over.

Goodbye striving for a better life of education and manners; hello upper class desperate to act like gutter trash. Goodbye Frank Sinatra, hello Mick fuckin Jagger. Go back and re-read that interview again and just substitute the applicable bit of U.S. "culture" and you've got just exactly why we now have a generation desperate to be taken care of by Bernie Sanders.

It isn't for nothing that the likes of Mark Twain and Einstein said that their education interfered with their learning. These words may be found in some fashion midst others considered 'somewhat' literate.

Some famous person said, "The real learning starts when you leave the school system."

~ learning - it's a life long journey for the intelligent, an avoidable chore for the retarded ~
