The Brigadoon Trailer Park: I could be trailer trash in this mobile home park REAL easy....

I had an evaporative cooler when I lived in on-base housing in Texas in the early '50s. Nasty thing to keep clean and odor free, but worked as good as the window AC I acquired later, and was dirt cheap to run.

When I was a kid, my parents had friends that lived in a trailer park like that (minus the tropical pastel color scheme) It was a fun place. A couple years back we rented a double-wide on the inter-coastal. Fished with an old Cuban guy who said little an went to take a nap when the tide turned. A great week.

Maybe easy to make fun of folks living in trailers. At one point in my life, that was my best option. It minimized my expenses while working two jobs and going to school. Fast forward and life is rosy. I learned not to pass judgement on folks scraping to get by.

Aww how cute, we could go slumming with the barefoot meth-head "trailer trash". They aren't "real" people are they? Then we could go to Brazil and live a romantic life in the barrio, or one of those cute tres chic mud huts in Africa. Walking 5 miles a day for water is good exercise!
This sounds like something from The New Yorker.
I live in a trailer, and my life is not quaint, perfect, and romantic.
I forgot my point....
