All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace

I keep asking my daughter if my grandson can write his name in cursive yet. She's been elusive, I think he's probably not being taught. Ink and paper is civilization, the other things, something else. I hated that movie when they drug me to it in 1968, and I still do. The Black Rock continues to be a problem.

"I like to think
(and the sooner the better!)
of a cybernetic meadow
where mammals and computers
live together in mutually
programming harmony
like pure water
touching clear sky."

********

I'd like to buy the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow white turtle doves.

Chorus:
I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to buy the world a Coke
And keep it company
That's the real thing.

********

Two different songs;
same reaction to both..
I'd like to barf and retch.

What grace, what love? Who will be the programmer? I like to think (and the sooner the better - come Lord Jesus!) of a world in which we accept responsibility for our actions, reject false notions of personhood based upon the emotional whim of the moment, and see with the clarity that comes from true freedom. Not thru rainbow colored glasses that confirm our self delusions.
