Something Wonderful: The Voyagers

We’re barely able to inhibit this rock within in our species and yet we have the audacity to think we’ll be able to knowingly live with another peacefully. Or them with us.

We should have waited another million years or at least till we invented lasers, or some such, than can destroy anything and everything that threatens Earth.

Karma, being such a nasty bitch, will make sure that there is world peace for a thousand years then the intergalactic beings will come and destroy us all for payback for Voyager crashing into and destroying the last remaining great mining ships of planet 67 in the galaxy Z6.

I worked the Voyager Project from 1972 through 1981 (Saturn encounter). There was no UN involvement! I worked with Rudy Hanel, Carl Sagan, et al on the IRIS instrument software and science data ground processing. We pioneered many concepts that are still in use today, albeit using more advanced technology. (The on-board data recorder is a 4" wide magnetic tape... that still works today!) Anyway, it was a wonderful and challenging experience. Thank you for the video.
