I watched a few friends die who wanted that instant gratification. Getting from point a to point b without the journey needed in between. Reminds me of part of a old Stepenwolf song "Snow Blind Friend"

I sometimes get a short burst of nitrogen high while scuba diving. A moment of euphoria.

A friend told me a story about visiting some bar while on vacation that supposedly gets their Guinness beer straight from Ireland. The bar also used nitrogen for their tap system just as they do in Ireland instead of the more common method of carbon dioxide here in the US.

So people are drinking Guinness and getting a little giddier than usual and the bar doesn’t know what’s going on. Come to find out, it seems instead of receiving a gas cylinder of nitrogen they mistakenly received nitrous oxide.
