Something Wonderful: Powers of Ten

This is an amazing film considering when it was made. CGI was barely in newborn infancy then.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So here is a much more recent version of the same thing, though starting with a pretty girl lying on the lawn beside Google's headquarters.

My interpretation: So, somewhere there exists a God who has an intelligence, wisdom and power that is at least 10/24 times more glorious than our own.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways
declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts"
Isaiah 55:8,9

Many of my contemporaries and I first saw this at the Smithsonian's Air And Space Museum in Washington DC in the late 1970s and we were absolutely mesmerized by it. Regardless of how many times we had seen it, if we had reason to be on the Mall then this video drew us back to the Museum for another viewing. It was a featured exhibit for a few years and then inevitably replaced by something equally worthy but imminently forgettable. This video has withstood the test of time, in spite of extraordinary advances in science and technology. Thanks for posting it for a new generation to discover.
