That I, whose experience of teaching is extremely limited, should presume to discuss education is a matter, surely, that calls for no apology.

Not too long ago I was sitting with my parish priest and the assistant priest (both in cassocks, me in casual attire) speaking about science and economics and the theology of them when someone sitting nearby for 40 minutes or so came to us to snort and ask,
"What could either of you priests know of economics or science?"
The assistant priest said,
"I have an MS in economics"
And my priest said,
"I have a PhD in physics"
The stranger turned to me,
"So what are you?"
I said,
"I'm the one with a degree in theology"
