I emailed the slicer manuf and told them they should consider placing the scale right on the slicer machine and save some money by eliminating the deli workers walking back and forth.
They thanked me for my excellent suggestion and said they would look into it.
That was more than 15 years ago and I haven't seen it happen.
A friend told me the deli slicer manuf doesn't care about the deli worker. I nodded in acknowledgement.
Another invention with no reason to exist.
