"Around here we pass on useful tips. "

I like Remus. He has been kind enough to admire my combo wood/electric cook stove and my great wheel. I have gained my wood sense by trial and error. I did get lost in the woods once. The snow had pushed the small trees down and you could only go up. I walked out to a logging road then walked about 20 miles trying to get out. I stopped because it was getting dark and I found a logging truck. Figured someone would show up eventually, which they did. If you want to start with book learning, I'd recommend Calvin Rutstrum's Way of the wilderness.
