Comments: The Japanese [Strawberry]: Nuked too much or not enough?
I've seen similar. It needs to spend at least another week in the sun. See the white part in the top-center? Unripe, sour.
Having said that, have you noticed how strawberries don't taste like strawberries any more? It's been a slow conversion til now. They have more of a citrus flavor now. In season (which isn't here yet) strawberries are a major part of my breakfast fruits routine and though I still eat them I yearn for the past version. Thanks Monsanto.
