Comments: Only Way to End North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons Program Is to ‘End the North’

Amb. Bolton: North Korea is a long standing and dangerous enemy, but otherwise they are in no way a liability of the United States.

The path forward for the Norks is either hell itself, or a dissolved nation that will pour itself into the South for mothering. It won't be pretty, and I can envision the US paying through the eye sockets and nose for support of a melted down and unified Korea, but I see no reason to meddle politically. Here is where I'm all for warfare, but not so hot on the political help. Not our business, as they say. Call that the exact opposite of Obama's doctrine.

I need a catchy phrase. What was his BS line that I hated so badly? "This problem has no military solution"...? In this case, only a military solution is indicated. We did not make the Norks commies. Money we can send. State department suits? No thanks.

Heel, Mr Ambassador.

John Bolton's mustache should be able to conqueror North Korea all by itself. Or they could send Bolton's mustache and John McCain, with Lindsey Graham tagging along as the cook. Surely that would do it.

The population of NK have been so indoctrinated and abused by their government under the Kims that in all likelihood, absent the Kims, they would represent a nation of weeping, paranoid and violent psychopaths that could never be helped or convinced that the Kims are not Gods or be led into any kind of rationality devoid of that influence.

The Chinese know this and they, no more than anyone else, wants to deal with the massive devastation of an attack on the nation, just to take out one guy and some of his supporters.

The only real way to deal with this may be through the covert removal of Kim, his spouse and his upper echelon military staff and then insert a strong dictator with the good sense to dismantle all of the NORK's nuclear facilities and open the nation to trade and negotiation with the super powers.

I doubt the ROKs would want to try reunifying with the Norks. Not enough money or mental health professionals in the world could do it. How do you overcome the effects of seven decades of communist brainwashing?

The world would be a damn sight safer without the barking mad treasonous sociopath Bolton, no matter how many Kim's it contained.

I think "Ending the North" would play out as China(PRC) getting a new peninsular province, with South Korea becoming ...just plain Korea.
