The article is too long and needs a real editor. Bottom line is as usual LAWYERS (including Judges) are deal killers. Finally GOOGLE does something right and idiot lawyers, judges screw the pooch.

And with a single EMP device in the right place, we are all sent back to the Dark Ages ... especially, if the hard copies are destroyed somewhere along the way. This is the reason why I still buy physical books of substance.
Google is a really bad thing just waiting to happen. The day will come when the entire world will ask itself why it allowed itself to fall prey to this High Tech Ma Bell.

Most of the Books in HARD COPY are self destructing because they were printed on Acid Paper which self destructs (lignin, sulfur dioxide from atmosphere, no alkaline reserve, and vulnerability to light). Google's e-copies are a Godsend for preservation of the knowledge in the deteriorating books. Even books printed on alkaline paper have only a, at best, ten times longer expected life span of up to 1,000 years.
