Comments: Crime simply does not pay as well as politics or banking.

It's the 3 card monte game, you can't win when they make (and change at will) all the rules. How do you think it has lasted 200+ years?

In this country, and the entire world, the gov't is the root of all evil.

But have faith, all houses of cards eventually fall.
The best you can do is try to stay out of the way and buffer the hell out of your resources.

"The more famous gangsters could have been successful in legitimate business, but by the time they cam along, the big money from industry had already been made and the doors were closed to newcomers, so they went into crime."

Yeah, it sure is a shame that all the big money had been made before Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates were born.

Yeah, much as I'd like to dream it, you can't count the Clintons out yet, at least not as long as Chelsea has ambitions.

Never count the Clintons out, their graft runs long and deep. Their Howdy Doody Daughter spouts her run-thru-the-machine twitterbits. Ambitious, yes. She lives in a pinkCloud version of well-financed not quite reality.

The house of cards will certainly fall. At some point in time, the Gubmint spending level will have to fall off due to nobody buying our debt any longer. With half the country getting checks from Uncle Sam, there will be cut backs. Look at Venezuela. Illinois is following and the rest of this country not that far behind. When we hit the credit card limit, it will get ugly. As Ghost said, buffer yourself. Probably will not happen in my lifetime, but probably not that long after. By then my two little ones will be well versed in surviving in tough surroundings.
