Brazil's Lula wants to have a bigger say in the Security Council (some things he said while in Syria and elsewhere on his recent tour of Arab countries).
All those loud mouths in Europe have certainly shown how rediculous Annan's statements are.
Why does China not help in Europe? and so on.
Let's just forget that the US coalition did not exist when things in Rwanda heated up.

Re: Kofi Annan -- President Bush and members of his Administration stood up in front of the UN and tried to make the case for a unified attack on Iraq based on Saddam's having WMDs. The majority of the UN did not find the facts that the US presented to be believable; it turns out the majority was correct. Now the US has been asking for UN assistance in Iraq, and Annan has sensibly pointed out that there are a great many nations in the world that need UN help.
