Air America?

Haven't you heard? They're doing just great. Just got picked up by a low wattage station in Atlanta around the 1500 area of the dial. Their strategy is to carve out their niche far away from the other talk radio stations bunched together at 640, 680, 750, 790, 920, etc. Yep they own the top half of the dial. They're going to be HUGE!!! Sarcasm mode now off.

"Air America is the highest rated program in the history of radio! It is broadcast around the world to an audience of billions! You are telling lies! Listen for yourself! Rush Limbaugh is committing suicide after hearing of the success of the mighty Al Franken!"

(What's that? What do you mean, 'Your paycheck didn't clear the bank?' Lies, all lies! Call the arrogant american bank and demand an explanation!)

There's actually an FM radio station in Madison Wisconsin that picked up Air America's programming.

So I tune in occasionally for amusement purposes.

It alternates between sneers & lies. No news, no humor.

I don't know if they make the DU look sane, but they definitely make NPR look fair & balanced by comparison.

If you get a chance, try it some time. Great camp value.

Give them a few months now that the election is over. I'll bet they'll quietly fold up their tents. How many stations do they have now anyway?

They have 66 stations, they just lost 2. Chatanooga and Lake Tahoe, I believe. They have 1/10th of the audience that Limbaugh does, and half of those are Limbaugh listeners tuning in for amusement purposes. Personally, I wish they had a much larger audience because anytime a Liberal opens his mouth it's that much closer to the time when the crowd notices the emporer has no clothes...
