MoveOn.Org's Lebanon Liberation

"No doubt inspired by the election year example of MoveOn and other vital progressive organizations in America and Europe"

What does it say about the reputation of MoveOn.org that, even after reading that sentence, I didn't realize this was satire?

I didn't get the satire either. I was too busy gagging.

Which is probably the sign of great satire.

I can agree with everyting in the title of iowahawk's post except "The Winds of Freedom."
Up til then, he had me.

Durn it. I feel so dumb. You are a trickster, Gerard.... if you'd only put in the part about 'rich loamy fertilizer of inspiration' and 'respected intellect of Moan Chomsky' I'd have not been so easily tricked. Of course, I admit to not clicking over to read the rest of the great missive.
I succumbed to the one-gag reflex and ignored further enlightenment - which, as it turns out now I've read the whole piece is just that.

I'm digging out 'A Modest Proposal' to prime 'n shine my satire antennae so I won't fall flat again. :)
