Stick a Fork in McCain. He's Done.

For me, it was the "Luke Skywalker" speech in 2000. He did that and my reaction was basically as it would later be to Howard Dean's "scream" speech in '04: "Whoa! Where in hell did that come from? That boy ain't right."

In addition to his age, and his 5+ years as a POW, I've said for some time now that McCain is physically sick. He's had major surgury on the left side of his face...he sports a scar from his temple to below his jawline. He's quite careful now with camera angles and will do what he can to put the right side of his face towards them.

Oh, yeah. Do we get to talk about his positions? McCain-Feingold, anyone?

The media love him, and he's attractive to those without the fortitude to take a position (read: "Independants"), but he's gone as far as he's going to go.

It's a shame to see what politics can do to a man. He tries to be some things to all people. Clinton got away with that somewhat. Conservatives are a tad more principled, I think.

My heart does ache when I think of the torture endured by him by the friends of Fonda, Clinton, and Kerry.

Patriots please take a stand!
