I expect that this Lady has class enough to not want to run.

As First Ladies go she is also, beyond doubt, a kinder and gentler one as well. Add to that the facts that 1) her voice does not, unlike Hillary's, cause puppies to bleed from the ears, and 2) her laugh is actually sincere.

Heh.

Our 43rd President seems to want to actually spend time in the company of his wife, and our 42nd does NOT want to be around his.

This is one area in which I understand the feelings and actions of both men.

Tonight I drink a toast to ladies who are just plain pleasant. It's time they got the credit they deserved.

She's also a cat person, and unlike Hillary, who gave Socks away the minute she left the White House, Laura Bush plans to keep the First Cat (India). Loyalty to pets (especially older, no longer kitten-cute pets) does tell you something about a person's character.
