Does anyone doubt where Hillary would be today if she had divorced Bill immediately upon learning of his (latest) infidelity with the intern? Actually, if she let's her hips go by adding another 20-30 lbs, then that, plus her husband's recent activities qualifies her to run for President.

One thing people overlook in such cases is the
probable state of the man's sex life at the time.
Although this is my pure speculation, it is quite
likely that Silda is into her menopause and had
been neglecting her husband's "needs". Further,
I speculate that Elliot probably has much above-
average sex drive as in the case with many hyperactive
politician. It's not coincidence that many
historic figures had mistresses.
Anyway, It is quite possible that if Silda had
token Elliot's daily needs more seriously in
recent years, this tragidy could have been avoided.
It is sad. Sad for everyone.

I seriously doubt there is anything wrong with Silda's sex drive. Something tells me she is the type of women to have all aspects of her life covered!!! She will decide whether to leave or not. But if she does there will be many men knocking at her door. Eliot should not have taken a chance on losing her!!!!!

I'm a democrat & I was "Spitzered" last year. 20 years of marriage, 4 kids - two recently adopted! My republican friends wanted me to stay with him but I'm no fool. I'm getting every penny I can get and moving on with my life! And I'll tell anyone about it who's willing to listen.. there's no way I'm going to let people blame me in any part for his horrible behavior.

All we can do is theorize. We have no idea what their family life was really like. Maybe the reason Hillary and Silda have stuck by their men, is because they had agreements about this kind of thing, and rather than worrying about them having affairs, they are more upset about their stupidity in getting caught.

Never blame the wife, Fritz. This man was behaving the way he had been for 10 yers, long before your notion that menopause could have made him do it. No chauvenistic remarks apply here. She's a beautiful, accomplished woman. Even if she wasn't "instantly available" to her husband, that is no explanation for Eliot's behavior.
