Heaven forbid something happens to McCain, but I believe Palin would rise to the occasion. She has the right attitude. Everyone knows Obama is NOT ready for POTUS, Palin is only for the VP. All the Palin pluses are exciting indeed but best of all is this: with her selection she reminds us that the American political system was set up by our founders to be run by ordinary citizens who aren't necessarily professional politicians. At any gathering of friends or family you look around and any easy half dozen of them would make a decent president, don't you think? Even uncle Fred who pinches all the asses and likes his cups would make a decent commander in chief when pushed to the wall.

I didn't really like the rabidness of the conservative press when Clinton was president. I remember thinking more than once, "Let the man do his job." Then it occurred to me that they were mostly upset because he was president and they - with their expensive educations and contacts - were part of the pencil-pushing herd and NOT president.

The hysteria of the Dems is easy to understand: Oh my God! A pleb woman who loves America...someone who represents and does what we only talk about!" But I really I love the hysteria of our MSM pundits: "Oh my God! If a normal American can run things how will I ever prove my superiority to the mass!"
