Democrat Palin Hate: There Really Is No Bottom

Obam says he has nothing to do with the smears.

If you look how he won most of his election then this must be the exception. His best opponents were always removed by less than savoury means.

Someone needs to come up with a Youtube showing the earlier deviousness followed up by commenting "and he said his campaign has nothing to do with smearing Palin. If the shoe fits?"

Gerard,
I know what you mean when you say you are amazed at the left/dem's inability to stop digging.

You are a thoughtful and reflective person and so naturally you imagine those on the left as such (especially since they claim to represent humanity's Thoughtful & Reflective). You think that perhaps the left thinks, "OK, first reaction is over; now it's time to take a look at Palin for a more grounded appraisal."

But no. The left is not stepping back and taking another look at Palin. Nor is it ashamed of its first ugly reaction to her. Not much thoughtfulness going on here - plenty of reaction, though.

So it makes you wonder. Doesn't anyone on the left think like this:

"...my ideas are making me write and think in crude and cruel ways about a new politician who I don't really know; this is a person of some accomplishment and a person who is not untouched by adversity. My firm ideas about politics are leading me to malign this person with ever increasing pitilessness. Maybe I should change my ideas?"

No, I don't think anyone on the left thinks like this.

I just watch in amazement as the loony left shoots itself in the foot again and again and again. And when they've pushed public opinion so far against the Democrats that McCain/Palin win handily, they'll exhibit puzzled outraged followed by cries of conspiracy and vote rigging and who knows what else. Their sick imaginations seem to be boundless.

There is a website now dedicated to attacking Trig Palin, Sarah Palin's child with Down's Syndrome.

So no, these people have no essential human decency!

Posted by Travis at September 8, 2008 4:59 PM

I don't know why this is a surprise to anyone. While the American left is perhaps, strictly-speaking, not Communist, there are plenty of fellow travelers and useful idiots on that side of the aisle who probably absorbed some of the old NKVD/KGB techniques. To them, it is not sufficient to oppose someone's political views. Instead, the person must be utterly destroyed, especially if that person can be seen as a "class traitor". Since Gov. Palin is a woman who doesn't toe the feminist line, she qualifies. The left, with or without BHO's consent, hit bottom in the last week or so and has been digging ever since. Expect more of the same.

waltj,
I know what you mean - Stalin encouraged his minions to savage each other - especially those who were on the way out; they may not have done anything but Stalin wanted them gone so it was important to destroy them mentally as well as materially - no persoanl attack was out of bounds. So too with Fidel Castro. Huber Matos describes how Fidel would go off on his brother Raul for hours humiliating him in front of everyone - just tearing him down mentally...

great bag o' tricks heritage the left carries on...

Posted by Doug at September 8, 2008 8:21 PM

Gee, I fully expected to see some making fun of Palin. I mean there's so much great fodder already. Stuff like the troops are in Iraq "because it's God's will". If that Bible Thumping, lying lunatic gets in the White House, the last 8 years will seem like a picnic compared to the horrors of what's yet to come. Should we invade Iran? Let's pray on it.

Posted by windyridge at September 8, 2008 8:32 PM

Be sure to pay close attention to windyridge's assessment of all things Christian; he/she obviously spends each Sunday researching evangelical churches; indeed has probably carried out a lifetime study of the church in America...

Not...

The cliche "bible thumper" gives his/her game away. A more brain-dead cliche of the non-thinking left you can't come up with. Lincoln's knowledge and quotation of scripture would have earned him, too, this frayed leftoid cliche...

A man is known by the company he keeps, eh? Well, let's see: Oh yes, I remember. Both Bushes should by that same logic be judged by their business association and personal friendship with the blood-drenched psychotic butchers that rule Saudi Arabia. Yes, I do know neither of them is running, or can run, this time. Thank God for that. However, McCain is; and he is therefore so associated at one remove.

Or doesn't that rule apply to Republicans?

Posted by Fletcher Christian at September 8, 2008 11:39 PM

Well Fletch there's friends and then there are friends. Sometimes what looks like friendship could be the making of the best of a bad situation. However, in an ideal pure good Fletcherian world, oil ponds and lakes would only be found underneath the groovy peace-loving Swedes...there. Done. I've snapped my fingers and changed it because Fletch is uncomfortable with the reality that psycho-killers live above the precious fluid that powers our world. Feel better now Fletch?

Posted by Doug at September 8, 2008 11:58 PM

Doug, not really. 9/11 was planned and executed by an organisation founded and run by Saudis - including members of their royal family. What was the USA's highly appropriate response? Right. Attack someone that had nothing to do with it. No contracts and yacht visits at stake there!

Of course, the fact that many millions of Americans aid and abet the terrorists by driving gas-guzzling monstrosities instead of sensibly-sized cars has nothing to do with it, either. Right.

What should have been done, seeing as everyone (except apparently Shrubs I and II) knew who was responsible? TAKE THE BLOODY OIL OFF THEM!! Along with all the assets they bought with the rest of their blood money.

(In this particular case, that word isn't just a mild cuss word; it's descriptive as well.)

Yes, I am uncomfortable with the idea that psychotic killers live above a major world resource. There is an obvious solution to that problem - and it's going to get used, sooner or later.

Right, because oil isn't used for anything but powering automobiles.

As soon as you develop a wooden keyboard, you be sure to let us know, until then I suggest you do a little more research before deciding that the SUV is responsible for all the world's problems.

Posted by Rafer at September 9, 2008 8:37 AM

Makes sense to me, I was tired of driving those gas-guzzling SUV's, though using the "obvious solution" would probably curtail the driving of sensibly-sized cars too. In fact, I'm willing to bet it would curtail all sorts of things.

Posted by Rafer at September 9, 2008 8:45 AM

Actually, Fletch, OBL had everything to do with 9/11 and we attacked him as soon as was practical. Since the Taliban sheltered him and his organization, they were attacked as well. I consider that response quite appropriate.

I have no particular use for the Saudis, for all sorts of reasons including 9/11, but "taking their oil off them", while satisfying to ponder, won't happen these days. That's what we were falsely accused of doing in Iraq. Just imagine the sh**storm if it were true.

America actually "aids and abets" the terrorists a lot less than Asia, unless you consider Canada and Mexico to be terrorist sponsors. I'll concede the point on Venezuela, but here's the thing: oil is fungible, we buy ours on the open market, and our imports generally come from countries close by. Not always, and there are times we end up buying more from Saudi Arabia or Nigeria than we do from one of our neighbors. But in general, Middle East oil is used more in the developing economies of Asia than it is in North America.

So the actions of George W. Bush justify this act?

Nice to see where you stand, Fletch. I think you should aim for a wider audience than here. Get your opinions out into the general populace.

Posted by Mikey NTH at September 9, 2008 2:37 PM

Mikey NTH: No, they don't. Neither did that act justify George Bush's actions.

waltj; you said it, oil is fungible - which means that using more oil increases the price of the stuff no matter where a particular nation gets it from. So if the USA uses more oil then the neck-choppers get more money.

Rafer; oil use for making plastics is a small fraction of the total and you know it.

Doug, how typically childish to attack the commenter and not the comment about the post's subject matter.
She will rule how and when God tells her to apparently, and you are ok with that? I mean, she asked everyone to pray on that bridge to nowhere. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves. Oh and she got caught in several lies. Out and out lies. Caught red handed. The bridge and the jet. If she is not shy about doing that what kind of administration will we have? And she can't even handle her own family. And still she won't talk to the press. Wow. Scary.

First, Windy, don't panic on the submit button. Patience please.

Sorry windy but you are simply not correct. Nor are you lucid.

"she asked everyone to pray on that bridge to nowhere."

Do you mean to say she invited everyone up on a bridge that went nowhere and then asked them to pray?

The jet slander has been effectively rebutted from 360 degrees of direction.

Ditto the bridge bit.

But.... BUT.... even if they were not I have to ask.... Is this all you got? These teensy balls of nothing? If that's the case, please resist the urge to join the ritual suicides on Nov. 5.

Moving to Canada will do quite nicely.

She handles her family quite nicely thank you and as for not talking to the press, please try to buy a television before Thursday so you can watch ABC.

"oil is fungible - which means that using more oil increases the price of the stuff no matter where a particular nation gets it from"

The price does not depend on the origin of the oil but on the relationship between supply and demand.

Drill more, pump more, and the price of oil falls. Indeed, it falls on the rumor of drilling more.

Whatever this fake eBay website you have posted here it can be discerned by any person of reasonable intelligence and common knowledge of eBay that it is not an Obama controlled or Obama posted website so why are you blaming the candidate for this cr*p? If the President of the USA takes some action that any portion of his constituents disagree with, do you blame the entirety of Americans for it? Abortion is legal in the USA, do you d*mn all Americans for this? If a prankster posts a disgusting prank on eBay, do you blame all Democrats for this (not even knowing if the prankster is himself a Democrat?). Can you be serious in your bombastic, erroneous outrage?? I have to question your ability to follow logic in life in general.
