Remember a few years ago when it was formally decided that King County would be named after Martin Luther King Jr, rather than William Rufus DeVane King? I didn't hear a peep out of Seattle's gay community, not that I'd know where to listen, even though Vice-President King was almost certainly one of the country's first gay politicians.

Blacks and Muslims are "minorities" and thus cannot be Designated Villains. Besides, both are dangerous when riled. Prosperous, mostly white Mormons are safe to demonize.
