Cleopatra As A Corn-Rowed Pop Star? Nonsense. She was of Macedonian lineage: the Ptolmaic Dynasty was not local Egyptian. We have enough actual coins and statues to be certain what she actually looked like, and her features are Greco-European.

OK - this is the first time I've cried about the election results. That post by The Anchoress about BDS and shoe throwing where she links to the video of the troops greeting George Bush... that did it! How could the American electorate DO this to our self-sacrificing military men and women? Ingrates! Once again, we conservatives are left to apologize for the adolescent left in America. God knows, they won't do it! Being liberal means never having to say you're sorry. Living in Obamamerica is like having a foolish, churlish younger sibling. We keep making excuses for the blue staters hoping some day they'll grow up and be decent.

Please forgive me my outburst. I don't normally "do" bitter. God bless George Bush! And grant him Peace.

Cleo was truly an ugly white girl. If there were a drop of Egyptian blood in her nature might have been less cruel.
Our leftie anthropologist could not stop herself from relaxing science to deliver Cleo a darker skin through the miracle of a few generations of soaking up the local customs. Amazing how that works.

Yeah, right, Cleopatra as Hallie Berry. My God, what has happened to science?

Was this "mulatto" Cleopatra also a global warming activist (another example of the polluting of science with ideology)?

As to the "mixed race" notion: It's not entirely out of the question considering the 300-year time lapse from the original Ptolemaic dynasty. It is however, highly improbable. I do believe the different factions of the Alexandrian empire wanted to maintain purity of lineage.

Could I be wrong? Of course, but this item with the corn-rowed Cleopatra seems highly suspect.
