Panarin is an idiot. His proposed boundaries do not follow any cultural, economic or geographic divisions.

Northern CA plus WA and OR is a possibility. So is the Old South. Another is NE, NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD. The Big 10 Conference less maybe PA and plus maybe WVA makes some sense. So does TX/OK. Southern CA, NM and AZ might dissolve into the chaos of a governmentless Mexico.

All in all, it's more likely we will absorb western Canada and northerm Mexico and that the Chiness will takeover Siberia.

This is somewhat reminiscent of Joel Garreau's Nine Nations of North America.

Except, of course, that Garreau actually understands the people of North America and Panarin does not. Utah joining Cascadia (the area west of the Cascades)? Not bloody likely.
