From "The Decider" to "The Object in Chief"

A teleprompter in the brain?

Reminds me of Crichton's "The Terminal Man"

"I am the object in chief of this varying assessment."

That's what happens when you ride the Rorschach to the presidency.

- I am the object in chief of this varying assessment.

I think we can now say that we've seen the ultimate in narcissism.

Remind me; what was so brilliant about Obama?

I am the egg man.
They are the egg men.
I am the object!
Inchief inchief.

Reminds me of Don Marquis' poem (from archy and mehitabel, written in 1927) about Warty Bliggins the Toad:

i met a toad
the other day by the name
of warty bliggens
he was sitting under
a toadstool
feeling contented
he explained that when the cosmos
was created
that toadstool was especially
planned for his personal
shelter from sun and rain
thought out and prepared
for him

do not tell me
said warty bliggens
that there is not a purpose
in the universe
the thought is blasphemy
a little more
conversation revealed
that warty bliggens
considers himself to be
the center of the same
universe
the earth exists
to grow toadstools for him
to sit under
the sun to give him light
by day and the moon
and wheeling constellations
to make beautiful
the night for the sake of
warty bliggens

to what act of yours
do you impute
this interest on the part
of the creator
of the universe
i asked him
why is it that you
are so greatly favored

ask rather
said warty bliggens
what the universe
has done to deserve me
if i were a
human being i would
not laugh
too complacently
at poor warty bliggens
for similar
absurdities
have only too often
lodged in the crinkles
of the human cerebrum

(the poem was supposedly written by a cockroach named Archy who was too small to type capital letters by hitting the shift key on a typewriter)

On spoiled little girls, or bigger girls who have not yet learned to be real women, we expect to see t-shirts emblazoned with the vital information: "Yes, it is all about me."

Apparently they need to start making in them in a men's size large, navy blue with the presidential seal right above the motto.

Or we could just wait for Obama to don the Emporer's New Clothes.

I recall some people on the port side getting all tied up in knots when they suspected President Bush was wearing a wire during his debate with John Kerry. But actually have proof that President Obama can't function alone and they just sit back and stay silent.
