Human Achievement Hour to Light Up the Dark Earth Hour

Thanks for promoting Earth Hour! Another way you can recruit people to the cause is by creating a Earth Hour group on Commit21.com. Simply create a group about one action that you will commit to do for Earth Hour and recruit your friends, family, and co-workers to get involved in that action as well. When it comes to climate change, simple actions can make huge differences and Commit21 leverages social media to influence networks of friends, family, and co-workers. I am so excited about Human Achievement Hour. I think during that hour I will open a bottle of fine wine (after chilling it to perfection in my electric wine chiller), pour a glass and sit on my couch with the A/C cranked, under a big fur-lined blanket and watch basketball on my 51 inch LCD TV. Oh, and I just may have to microwave some gourmet popcorn. I'll say a toast (on a commercial break) to Achievement everywhere.

Thanks!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I fell damned privileged that someone so evolved would take the trouble to share her wisdom with us here.

Think of the sacrifice. She'll be sitting around in the dark with undried hair while the rest of us will be celebrating Lights Out For 0bama in a warm, well-lighted place. Makes a fella proud of his country.

I'm going to celebrate Human Achievement Hour by parking my 40mpg Honda Gold Wing and driving around in my 15mpg Ford F150 for an hour. During that hour of driving, I will sit in a fast-food restaurant line with my engine running while I order and wait for the pinnacle of human achievement: Popeye's Fried Chicken (spicy, of course).

I am going to celebrate Earth Hour by grabbing my guns to protect myself from the crime wave that will result from plunging the city into darkness at a predetermined time.

I turned on all my lights. I turned on the radio. I plugged in the waffle iron.

I watched television, Curiously all the stations were broadcasting.

Gee...I guess the issue is not so urgent, after all.
