Lose much of the archives? NO, SAY IT AIN'T SO...

A lot of the entries, and I mean a LOT of them, are comments or items of little interest that were attached to things that were possibly important at the time, but are no longer relevant. Mostly short items.

Hell, I unpublish items such as this all the time to keep the front page sort of interesting and nobody notices or complains.

[Note: "Unpublish" is NOT the same as "Deletion" -- something I rarely do. The state of "Unpublish" leaves the item reachable via direct URL in the unlikely case it has been linked elsewhere.]

Keep in mind that as of June this page will have been around for six years and there's a lot of dead wood lying about. Who needs the aggrevation of porting all that stuff over? I don't.

Besides, as the sage says, The making of history will be left to those who can rewrite it.

Ah, Gerard. You only THINK you'll be expunging your archives. Google cache, my friend. Blog flooz! And then there is THE WAY BACK machine aka The Internet archive search engine. My favorite blogger, Allah, once had an amazing and hilarious blog, and he disappeared it, too. Or at least he THOUGHT he did. But it tarries with us, still, in the endless garden of blogging paradise called the blogging paradise garden. Of Blogging Paradise.

Have you found a WP theme or plugin that will give you the flexibility on your sidebar that you currently enjoy? If so, I’d like to know the name of it!
